Hi

I am lost in the game at the moment. And lost in the PS3
and Heavenly Sword. Just when I thought gaming couldn`t 
get any better... My goodness how wrong could I have been...

Sony needn`t worry about the PS3. It'll sell itself eventually.
This is a real classy bit of kit and leaps and bounds ahead
of the PS2. Its sleak, fast and dynamic... I just can`t leave it
alone.

Out of the box I connected the HDMI to the Bravia and to start
with you connect a USB to the controller. Then you log on and
immediately get a massive update from Sony. The backdrop
it so sexy and you get loads of options from here. If you want
to play old Playstation games you have to create a memory
slot on the hard drive. Usual stuff with a User profile...

Anyway the first big change is the controller. There are five
flashing lights on the back and a centre PS3 button. With this
you throw away the cable and then click to assign the controller.
Usually light one comes on. Then you are cordless. Next big
change is during the game, cus not only do you fire the
projectile but you guide it through the air with the controller.
This really is a struggle to start with cus you wanna use the
thumb sticks. After a while you really love the freedom of
the controller. And so you go over stuff again just to have 
another go.

The graphics are just unbelievable. You really are in a film
now, not a game. There is total fluidity with no annoying 
loading of levels. It all works in the background so you
just flow through the game. And with the wide screen
and HDMI my goodness, I don`t think I'm gonna be going
to bed tonight. 

Heavenly Sword is an amazing game. It grows with you as
you develop your fighting skills. And the moves just become
more intoxicating. I just can`t get over the quality of game
visuals and graphics. Its like your in that large battle scene
in Lord of the Rings. 

Anyway... Suffice to say I am very very pleased with the PS3.
It towers above anything and everything else I have ever used.
Words cannot really explain... As I say I shall not sleep
tonight... I am not just watching the story unfold, I actually
feel I am in the film.... Truly magical.

Gotta go. As I say thats me for a while sadly. I live for a good
game. It is like I have been waiting for this moment for some
years. Not since I first played Ishar on the Amiga, or Lara on
the PS1 or FFX on the PS2 have I felt so happy gaming. And
this experience beats the hell out of all that has gone before.
This is a massive leap....

[ scuzz:Acts 3 ] I flail myself in a masochistic ritual using
Microsoft. Somehow the pain helps me live with myself having
ventured into the darkside. Otherwise I would become a sheep
on a conveyor of moronic existence... Worshipping the Darth
Vader Bill Gates.... Obscurity is far more pleasurable, and wanting
reasoning for their bullshit dogma is not worthy of one moment
of my time. That's why I do not seek any reasoning beyond that
which most sensible and creative OS would make obvious.
But then practical, reasonable, sensible, obvious, user friendly.
thoughtful, creative etc etc etc are not something MS have ever
thought worthy of procuring....
