Video Back-up I should be so lucky
The things I get up to sometimes makes me scratch my head as to
how I got into such a mess sometimes. Take my journey from the
Commodore PET to Kylie Minogue.
I was dragging down an actual Commodore PET that I have lurking
stackied in a big box and was checking out the machine when I
came across this video backup software and interface for the
Amiga 1200. I then moved from the PET to hooking up the SONY
video player and an A1200 to see if I could get the machine
working off the SCART with a Samsumg flat screen. Anyway, when
I hooked the machine up I discovered a tape inside the player.
As I went to extract the tape it snagged on the release door
and crimpled all the tape. Also the tape was locked. I was
stuffed so there was nothing to do but mend the tape.
Half a day later and a real struggle with screws and actually
getting the tape mechanism back and working and I am able again
to watch my Stock Aitken and Waterman Hit Factory tape with
the very wonderful Kylie Minogue amongst others... Don't ask !!!
