ScuzzBlog: Diaries August 2019
Entry 12th August 2019: Post 02: Digita Wordworth V1.1.
Digita Wordworth V1.1.
What should have been a relatively simple task turned into a bit
of a nightmare. I was keen to display examples of the Version 1
of the software given that the later versions are more well known.
I have used Wordworth for word processing, desktop publishing and
as a general data base including images. The software is very
versatile.
However, in tracking down the actual disks I had to empty and move
quite a few storage tubs. This turned out to be quite a challenge.
Having recovered the disks and box I very quickly copied them to
the A4000d so that I could make future copies.
I do have a working set of copy disks that I have sitting behind
me for general use. I dunno what it is about version 1 but it
somehow feels a little more user friendly. And so I am now ready
to install on an A500Plus using the GVP sidecar and show just what
a marvel this bit of software is.
Only two days late.
What you see here are two boxes of the software. The first box was
missing the disks which are lost in my system somewhere. The second
box included the disks of which there are four. The reason for the
loss of the first set is that I sense they are labelled upgrade
and it's thrown my disk retrieval system into a cocked hat.
Just out of interest, my brother lived and worked on Wordsworth's
cottage on Lake Windermere in the UK and fixed his rocking chair.
Low techy, techy !!
