ScuzzBlog: Diaries December 2018 Entry 12th December 2018: Post 06: Commodore 1541-II - Powering down Commodore 1541-II - Powering down OK I was all for reducing the size of the 1541 but adding yet another type of power unit and giving it yet again another pin connector. Man did Commodore love their PSU and power connectors. Took me an age to get a suitable power supply for the 1541-II. This actually is a great little floppy drive. I have two fitted to my main C64 and I wouldn't be without them. So what am I up to at the moment. Well, one of the problems with the old boxes is the wires and polystyrene. The wires melt into the poly and the reaction can in certain situations damage the computer case. So I am going round checking all the boxes and placing the cables into plastic bags where I can. I am also taking photographs as I do. So here is the 1541-II bagged and back into store. Commodore 1541-II
