Mark Sibly - Will be sadly missed.
I got the news quite late yesterday about the loss of Mark Sibly.
It really is quite hard to put into words how much certain Amiga
developers have meant to you over the years. Blitz Basic has been
resident on my Amiga for as long as I can remember. It really is
a significant part of what the Amiga means to me. To lose such a
valuable component of your world leaves a large hole which can
never be filled. Such is the significance of those that built the
world that is Amiga.
I will miss Mark and make sure I compile all that I have of his
marvellous product. His work lives on and will no doubt still bring
hours and hours of joy to those that use the Amiga. I can do no
more today than present the guide that sits next to this Amiga.
Amiga folk have always been ready to fly their own flag in support
of the platform. Mark's flag may be at half mast but the spirit of
this truly wonderful Amigan is still flying high. Today I am sad
but I am also proud to have lived in Mark's time. Thank you.
