Entry 17th December 2024: Post 1: AUI - November 1991 Hyperdisk 6 - CanDo.
AUI - November 1991 Hyperdisk 6 - CanDo.
An early coverdisk/userdisk.hyperdisk edition of Amiga User Int.
with disk number 6 included with the blog. Pretty unusual for me.
There isn't anything magical included with the disk, but it shows
how CanDo software can be used to create a presentation. The disk
has interactive menus and even sound attached to a picture file.
The other stuff on the disk is less than impressive, basically
cus the presentation took up all the disk space. An interesting
disk none the less.
The magazine predates AUI's later change to a more basic publication.
It is the larger more polished version with some very nice editorials
on DPpaint, GVP, NewTek, SuperBase4, Real3d and Fred Fish. I was
particularly interested in the stuff on the Genitizer and an article
on the quality and fault finding with floppy disks.
Tis not my duty to reproduce whole magazines. I just give folk a
taste in the hope you can source the material online or even by
finding a copy on the auctions. As ever I am here simply to make
you aware of what the Amiga world was like in the day.
Like I say I include the disk which is not featured on a well
known magazine website. I do find magazine review pages do tend
to focus on the games scene. There is a lot of useful information
in the magazine that gets ignored. Great edition this.
On the fly is an advert for NewTek and Elan Performer 2.0 plus the
Digi-Paint software which I have boxed versions of. I have included
the feature at the base of this blog.
Have fun.
