I was discussing the other day software that was always resident on the Amiga. In terms of games that pretty much lived on the old hard drive, PGA Golf was up there with the best. The game was just so easy to get into. When first loading the game you will need the course information. The manual writing is a little small. What I have is a hand written sheet with all the numbers on. You can choose a vast array of options from the golf shop and play with others if you have friends around. On reaching the course you get a handy fly through to show the layout plus a expert view on the hole. Note the wind indicator, it really does make a vast difference. My first hole on the Amiga for a while and I managed to do it in six shots. I did improve somewhat. I have to say the game even now holds its own and is very enjoyable to lose yourself in. I really enjoyed my golf today. Worth a play. My dad would always say Mean 18 was better but I don't think there is much in it. The game to avoid is Sensible Golf. My goodness that game is bad.
