Think Amiga games and think Amiga Action. It always amazes me at
just how magazines like Amiga Action managed to pull off getting
all the current games onto their cover disks. They were in a cut
down version but still always managed to capture the essence of
the game and so entice the reader to go buy the game. I have to
say Amiga Action really did do this with great success and for
me stood head and shoulders above the rest.
Published by Europress and then IDG media it made it to 89 issues
making it the longest running Amiga games mag .. Oct 89 to Dec 96.
And so what little goodie have I here to demonstrate the mags worth.
I present to you the Amiga Action Advanced Booklet complete with
the two disks that came with it.. albeit some nasty gamer has
written on the one disk. [ I have others so no problem ] .So what
is an Advanced Game Booklet.... well shock horror it is the cutting
up of your beloved magazine to bend, twist and contort the pages
into an informative and useful game guide for the cover disks of
the then current magazine.
Here, let me show you ...
And here is how you make one ...
What better way to test the games
than with an Amiga ActionPad
OK.. I'm ready to Rock and Roll
