ScuzzBlog: Diaries February 2022 Entry 6th February 2022: Post 2: Amiga 1011 - External Floppy Disk. Amiga 1011 - External Floppy Disk. The Amiga 1011 was the only truly stylised external floppy drive released for the Amiga. Designed for the Amiga 500 and 2000 it has a much more slender form factor to the previous 1001 box. It has better shape and contours of any third party drive and is a touch smaller than future counterparts. There is another version of this drive, that being the very black 1411 for the CDTV. There is no daisy chain pass through on this drive and so will always have to be your last drive. I have mine hooked up to an A1200 and connects via the back of a 5.25" drive that is unbranded. I true classic bit of Amiga kit. I had thought I had featured the drive before but I am unable to trace the link. Just a shame they didn't design a 1020 with similar stylising.
