Amiga Disk Box 47 - Life of an Amigan.
Just one disk failed and so I grabbed
my CrossDOS disk and replaced it.
The standard WB1.3 disk had been modified
to give 97KB of free space.
Essential for adding your own stuff.
Fairlight Demo disk. I was unable to take
a screenshot of moving animations.
Fozz and Benz presents.
A demo from 1987.
I was able to screenshot this ugly mug.
Another disk of short intro demos.
From some guys called IRQ.
Next up Hagar of the Connection.
I needed to type 'e 5', which threw me.
And there you have SANX THE EXPLORER.
Quick game of Mean 18... Classic.
And another demo from the Accumulators.
Next up the game TestDrive.
If you don't change gear the windscreen breaks.
Next up a FredFish Library Disk 123.
Animation Revenge of the Unicycle.
FredFish Library Disk 123.
A very animated silver tabby.
Music now and InstantMusic.
Onto sound and Perfect Sound.
Sculpt 3-D.
Text editing with the very early TextCraft 1.0.
Attacked by the death star today.
More PD disks on offer.
This time we have Amigoids.
Intergalactic space shooter.
Adventure game CataComb.
This game was quite addictive.
Next up CROAK.
Or should I say FROGGER.
AMOS Pro JSB game.
The very familiar AMOS Pro load screen.
MegaBall and the classic Missile Command.
Interesting name 'Brickthrough'.
The Atari joke screen could only
mean one thing .. Amiga Power.
The PD house Software 2000.
And Cool Cucumber.
One of the CrossDOS disks was busted.
And so I replaced the CrossDOS software.
Next up the C64 Emulator.
Configure RAM to act as the 1541 floppy.
So I was able to save the C64 BASIC to RAM.
How did this get in here. It is an A1200
Workbench guide which lets you click on
anything on screen and it will give you
a detailed guide of what it does.
A really neat text editor called UEdit.
Another PD utilities disk.
MoviePlayer.
Amy at the Theatre by Eric Schwartz.
The very sexy Cyclops Slideshow.
Hard Drive tools disk.
Real 3D. Could have done with this
the other day. See my earlier blog.
Another text editor TransWriteJr.
Couldn't resist a bit of Clara.
Note the use of ToolsDaemon menu
to select Iconian. Saves you having
to struggle with drawers and windows.
With Iconian in play I brought in an
image from a video I had captured of
the very lovely Clara Veiga. I converted
in PPaint to ILBM and using only eight
colours quickly hacked together a new icon.
I could have bumped up the Workbench screen
to 256 colours and loaded in the palette
but that takes up a lot of memory. So just
the eight colours looks perfectly fine. You
do have to half the width of a jpg to make
it work in IFF Amiga proportion.
And so Iconian was the last disk in the box.
An interesting stroll through someone else's
disk box from 1986-1990 I would say.
