ScuzzBlog: Diaries January 2019 Entry 14th January 2019: Post 01: Spectrum 16K - Stage II Spectrum 16K - Stage II Previously on scuzzblog I had opened up the rare 16K Spectrum I have to discover that she was an Issue 2 and with just 16K. Sadly in opening up the case I managed to crack the connector to the keyboard. In truth I think it was partially broken anyway. May even been subject to a bit of tape repair. So I hopped over to trusty Ebay and DataServe and purchased 2 new membranes. They arrived and I set too again carefully heating up the keyboard face plate and gently easing off with some plastic mobile phone tools. All went without issue and in no time I had the new membrane installed and she was working no problem. Such a thrill and a joy to have a 16K Spectrum working again. Anyway I just checked this HTML document and its size is 20K. Just to give some idea of how small the memory was on the Spectrum 16K. Spectrum 16K - Stage II
