Entry 13th January 2019: Post 01: Multiface III for the Amiga.
Multiface III for the Amiga.
The very fluorescent Multiface III card for the Amiga tin box. The
card is a full length Zorro II providing 2 extra serial ports and
1 extra high speed parallel port. This little baby has its own
super fast version of Parnet. Cool.
I just wanted to show off the box to be honest.
Whilst mooching around the 4000s I also came across the Picasso II
which is the earlier version to the Picasso IV which I feature later.
I had intended doing a feature on the VLab but sadly the tub holding
this card is large and is five tubs down. And so I decided against
doing my back in and photographed the manual instead.
Evidently the Multiface does not autoconfig on boot and you are
required to fire up the MFC program which initialises duart.device
for the serial ports and pit.device for the parallel port.
It's raining again.
