Entry 23rd January 2020: Post 01: Robocop - 1 2 3.
Robocop - 1 2 3.
For a classic movie of the eighties I am surprised I have never
watched this film. Furthermore, even though I own three of the
games for the Amiga I have never played the game either. Why is
that ? I really have no idea.
The film dates from 1987 and was quite popular in its day. I did
catch up with a few scenes off YouTube and was surprised at the
adult nature of the film and the portrayal of violence. Looked
quite interesting but a little dated to make it worth watching.
As for the game, well, its kinda generic for the period and I
just don't enjoy scrolling left and right and shooting stuff. So
what was the point of the post ? I can't find a box. My records
have an entry set against the RoboCop3 disks with the dongle as
being part of a box. I have looked everywhere. Today I decided
to have a last go and collect all the disks and boxes I have.
Whilst I have the budget boxes for two of the games I don't have
the RoboCop3 box.... ' BIG NUMBER ' box. So annoying.
And then I searched my tub index and found this ...

I knew I wasn't going bonkers. Sadly at five large, and I mean large
plastic tubs down I aint gonne look anymore. I so recognised the big
number from a scan of the box on the internet.
Not sure if Alex Murphy has any catch phrases for Robocop but the
term 'I'll be back will not surfice. RoboCop 3 was made originally
for the Amiga and then was ported to other platforms.
Anyhoo that is that for Robocop. Don't expect any updates.
