ScuzzBlog: Diaries January 2020
Entry 30th January 2020: Post 01: Star Trek - 25th Anniversary.
Star Trek - 25th Anniversary.
This was one of those games that required you to give up your Amiga
for the afternoon so that the 'decrunching' process could unarchive
the contents of the loaded disks and convert into Star Trek 25th
Anniversary. I have to say that the wait was a little disappointing
cus you hardly seem to get into the game to find its all over. I was
thinking this would be a five year voyage and the trek endless. Sadly
the game didn't last very long and I was so miserable.. especially
as Star Trek Amiga games were very few and far between.
I am a great Star Trek fan and up to the release of this game all I
had on the Amiga was some Tobias Richter animations, his PD game called
Ultimate Star Trek and the theme tune to Voyager. Man I had so been
looking forward to this.
The game is very enjoyable, but then most that loved Star Trek probably
had their 'faces set to stun' anyway and were already wearing the
rose tinted glasses. Whilst the space travel was kinda fun the real
game is the puzzle solving with all your favourite characters. Thing
is it really wasn't that much fun as a repayable game. And so when you
had watched your series of basic episodes of the game it just left
you wanting more. AND THERE WAS MORE !!!! Bugga.
I just bought yet another Star Trek game this time for the PS3 and
have confined that to the failed Star Trek games shelf. The worst
being Star Trek Online... which was never 'fascinating'. However this
game was, for me, a happy experience albeit very short lived. What is
fascinating however, is the PD game which for two disks is crammed
full of Star Trek goodies.
Anyhoo.. this is Star Trek 25th Anniversary plus CU and The One that
featured the game when it came out.
Cooooooo the music
Star Trek - 25th Anniversary.
