Entry 1st July 2018: Post 6: Commodore C116

Commodore Model 116 - Inside the C116

I realise that a few months ago I featured the C116 and failed to
show what was going on inside. And so to remedy this I present to
you today the Commodore C116 inside and out, though this time less
of the outside.

The C116 launched in 1984 and evidently the cheapest Commodore
ever made. Made for the German market and some Eastern European
countries. From the C16 family and looks a touch like the Plus/4
albeit quite a bit smaller. The machine is from the 264 series of
Commodore computers running an advanced BASIC version 3.5 which is
not compatible with the C64. Supports the 1531 datasette and 1551
disk drive.

CPU is the MOS 7501 or 8501. Has 16KB RAM and 32KB ROM. Mine has
the 8501 at 1.76 MHz and supported by TED.

Just wish I had the box ....
