ScuzzBlog: Diaries July 2018 Entry 1st July 2018: Post 23: Amiga 1200 Amiga 1200 - Aging gracefully Part II Ok part II of my tour of the yellow peril... that is ' Sir Prize' and what did I find when I switched on the computer. Amiga 1200 Always check that the disk drive moves freely Seems to be working My goodness.. has worms !! Sadly a faulty floppy drive... Guess that must be a capacitor issue.. Or not OK I opened her up and pulled the drive Needs a good clean, especially those switches. Check the cables, ribbons and pins. Even checked with a couple of other drives All working now.. So not capacitors. Take II Let me boot the A1200 into 1.3 just using the Workbench disk... so as I don't pull any help form the hard drive files Yup the floppy drive is now working. Let's play Worms... but off the FLOPPY. Enter the code from the booklet Floppy working fine. And yes they all are THE DIRECTORS CUT ' N U T T E R ' And so she is working just fine. Nothing to see here.. Move along
