ScuzzBlog: Diaries July 2018
Entry 3rd July 2018: Post 02: SIMM Tower
Jenga - SIMM Tower
I bet Leslie Scott never thought I would use SIMM modules as building
blocks for the beloved Jenga game.... Oh and there is more than
54 in that tower.. I can assure you.
Bet you have never seen the Single Inline Memory Module used in
such a way before. And yes I have a lot of these things. Pulled from
various machines before junked and rescued from various mother
boards.
The SIMM was primarily used on computers from the early eighties to
the late nineties. Invented by James Parker of Zenith back in 1982
and almost patented by Wang laboratories. The SIMM was the subject
of a law suit trying to establish a world patent but failed.
Anyway this isn't an educational blog on the life and times of the
SIMM, just me rifling my batch trying to find a suitable mate for a
card I have here. Whilst picking through the mountain I played Jenga
with them and grabbed my camera...... Cool.

Another game to play is guessing how much this
little lot would have cost in it's day
I know I'm bonkers... It is hot
