The door to the Amiga A4000T
I was going through a pile of old magazines and books and found
this very sad item... It is the door to the Amiga A4000T. This
was the version released by Escom after the demise of Commodore.
Cost me over £700 when I obtained it off Amibench and involved
a long long journey 'up north' to collect.
Took me an eternity to get the machine working again but eventually
she ran just fine. That has been quite a few years back now and
I have never been tempted to throw off the dust covers. She sits
in a shroud of linen sad and neglected.
Never mind.. I guess if enough asked me to feature the machine
again I would take some pictures. Its long overdue. But like the
A3000Ts they remain dormant as I have no good reason to tax their
circuits. It's not that I dislike the machines, it's just that
I never think about them. I tend to refer to them as monoliths.
Symbols of a form of machine that in truth I never associate
with the Amiga.
So sorry.. just the door and a glimpse of the tower.
OK it's a new month.. Let's get on with it
