Yorha 2B.. Whot ??
Obviously not a gamer
First up animation with DPaint and
the wonderful Miss Veiga who I use... ooh er
as a screen saver on most of my active
Amigas. So you will find a Clara Veiga
folder on all the machines with screensavers
that get fired up when inactive. And what better
vision when idling away than the very splendid
Miss Veiga strutting her curves
Video is taken from Fashion TV DvDs
on the whole captured from SKY TV of old
I tend to use VidiAmiga and Main Actor
for video conversion and frame editing
and then into DPaint
DPaint has the best animator for the Amiga
You can create any length of animated brush
and then paste down in the number of frames
you want to use ... Easy peasy
The animation can be any length and
you have full control of each frame
The Control panel is very easy to use
and you can remove the tool bars from
the edit screen with the F functions
and slow move frame by frame using the
number keys. You have full control over
frame rate etc and it really is just a
breeze to use with all Amigas
Add to that software like Main Actor and
you can save in differing formats
Some like tropical fish screen savers
me I tend to stick with Clara... She's
kinda symbolic now of the Amiga to me
as I get so use to her being on all the time.
Clara Veiga is the face of my Amiga world...
Albeit a little less 'fractalised' which
only happens when you drop down your menus.. ooh er !!
Sorry can't show the anim cus its a still camera
OK this is the Amiga 4000d 040 with
that strange Workbench number
Just your usual boring OS3.9 icons
which are the worst and a pig to edit
Thankfully I am able to sneak in my
own icons.. Well hello Paris
And yes its just a giant repository
With each archive numbered
Here are the A1000 and A2000 system
volumes and disks from the other week
GVP Turbo OS and the Checkmate
Inside the drawers. Its a much better way
than archiving with Back-Ups. I just keep
all the computers OSs intact so I can pilfer
and if necessary reinstall lock-stock etc.
Try doing that on a Windows machine
I have all my demo disks and magazine disks
in DMS or ADF for ready use
Plus all my software
And all the games that I have
Archives are also on CD
I copy an archive over to RAM and rename
Always scuzz... matters not
I then run this little script
Decrunching begins
And then I have my disk
OK who is Yorha.... ?
This computer was called Clara, but I was
getting confused as I have another Amiga
called Clara. So earlier this year I renamed
the machine to Yorha 2B
Being a gaming nutter I named her after
Nier Automata Yorha 2B who is an android
in the classic console game. Seriously addictive
Another female with a powerful persona
So what else do I use here... ADF Blitzer
And I really care little what others say
This software copies the disk and writes
the disk. It ' ISN'T A BLOODY FILE CHECKER '
that is your soddin job... It's brilliant. M'kay
D'Face for all the odd file formats
ARestaure so you can check for deleted
files on disks you get so you can see
what users were 'actually' doing. Bit
sinister maybe, but hey... still fun.
And finally this crappy bit of software
from this guy that use to work for Commodore
JOKING... Man is this a life saver. But beware
this has hidden depths and you really need
to know what you are doing. A must for the Amiga
File management has always been very important
to me. It use to be important to MS but they had
to abandon it cus their OS is like an endless
ball of twine and they didn't want you trying to
unravel the thing. Evidently as a form of torture
in some cultures, prisoners are forces to read
through endless reams of Windows Registry entries.
Until they break and give away all their secrets
Image manipulation
Not sure who is manipulating who
The A4000d 040 does do everything incredibly
fast. And so image manipulation and video editing
is done at great speed and you do notice this.
Kinda a shame that all Amigas were not as fast
but then in time I guess they would have been.
For now the heavy work gets done here.
I'm Motorollin' evidently
Sadly though.. Won't fire up snooker
from the tool icon. That is the problem
with anything post OS3.1 ...
There is an answer.. See next post
