I purchased this computer thinking that it was part of the Apricot
range of machines. Turns out that it was simply an Intel based Windows
machine manufactured by Mitsubishi. I kinda lost interest in the
computer almost immediately and it went into deep dark storage. I
did resurrect the machine some years later but discovered that the
battery had fallen over and sadly I needed the system disk and
password to boot into the OS. Since then the computer had been used
as a base to sit my BBC Master System on.
So today I opened the computer up to a very dusty interior and a
rather sparse looking motherboard. The computer has a central riser
board and there may even be a couple of batteries on the board looking
at a restoration project on YouTube.
I am guessing that this dates from around 1997/98 and could have had
Windows 98 installed. Though more likely Win95 looking at the Pentium
fitted. Quite a neat looking machine but sadly I really am not a fan
of the desktop style of computer. They just take up way too much space.
And the computer now sits back under the Master System and whilst I
was tempted to give the interior a clean, in the end I really couldn't
be bothered. After all it really is only just a Windows based PC.
