ScuzzBlog: Diaries November 2024

Entry 18th November 2024: Post 1: Tomb Raider marathon.

Tomb Raider marathon.

I tend to dabble a bit over the Christmas period with Lara. Seems
to have become a little bit of a tradition here. Trouble is I just
can't face that frumpy dreary modern version and so last night I
treated myself to a YouTube extravaganza watching endless walk-
throughs of the old games. I was hooked.

So first thing I needed to do was remove the RISCStation from its
prime spot hogging the big big monitor in here. First up I checked
to see if she was working fine. She was, and as ever I dabbled a
good while mucking around and having a blast. Kinda had to twist
my ARM to get me off the thing... Get it ? Twist my ARM. Never
mind.

Next up I had to disconnect the PlayStation 4 and dust off the
XBOX 360. Before I slotted in the special edition trilogy disc of
Tomb Raider I took HitMan for a jolly and shot up the place. As
you do.

Been a while since I have been on the console. I do love games
that let you save and then progress a bit further. They give you
something to look forward to when you take breaks from the mad
cap world of retro.

Anyhoo, she may look a little dated now, but her moves are a
treasure to control and she never disappoints with those one off
cryptic comments. I just love her. So I am all set up for the
holiday break now. Just gotta decide which order I play them in.

Happy days.

PS If you leave the RISCStation for any length of time the screen
image redintegrates. Kinda troubling the first time I saw it. Then
I saw the funny side.

Tomb Raider marathon.

The RiscStation alarm feature. Check the clock is on time.

Oh dear.. Just can't stomach the modern Lara.

She maybe dated but she still holds her own.
