Coopers Ducks for CAR
Time to call it a day
Decided to call it a day with the Yahoo Group today which
I created for the website. Cannot believe that so many
years have passed since I formed the group out of my retro
collecting habit. There really isn't that much interest in
what I do given that I have pretty much stopped collecting
items now. This makes the group a little pointless in
respect of what I formed it for.
I have determined that a diary such as this is all that is
needed to catalogue my interest. That way folk can decide
for themselves whether to read or not.
And so in the immortal words of Max Headroom on his closing
episode... What can I say. After all of the years and all
of the tears...... BYE !!! Max still makes me laugh
[ Coopers Ducks is rhyming slang for something with 'uck' in it ]

I have been giving the group a good deal of thought of late and have
come to the conclusion that it has long expired it's sell by date. I
started this group to log my acquisitions and the collection and in
truth I just had to stop collecting back in 2010. I reflected on
comments made about making the website more of a diary based log and
that is now where I focus my interests. I was duplicating everything
said here on the site and that just seems pretty pointless.
It really is time to give the group a good rest. I need to post at times
because the group mail formats the pages in a way that copies best
straight to a pre tag on the htm so posts you see as diary are really
just for my copy purposes. So I will post here simply to copy stuff to
the website. I have tried setting up Thunderbird to do the same with a
normal mail but I can't seem to do what Yahoo do. Odd.
Anyway, I will leave the group open but in truth for my part I wont
trouble you lot any more with my ramblings. You have suffered enough. I
will maintain my diary from now on with the website which is what I have
been doing since the beginning of September. I am not saying goodbye to
this group but I do think it really makes no sense posting here and then
also working on the same on the website. I really want to focus all my
efforts on the website.
Use the group if you so desire. I will still be picking up the mails.

I sense that most have long since parted from the group anyway and
I am for the most part talking to myself. There is very little in
the way of conversation. I really don't think the group will be missed
